01 — Welcome to JoeLister

Hey Joes! My name is Jeff Zhao and since March 2022 I’ve been the new product owner for JoeLister. It’s been a busy year as we’ve been hard at work adapting to the shifting ecommerce ecosystem, including keeping up with changes with how Amazon handles fulfillment requests through their API. We know a lot of Joes have been facing challenges with their daily operations as well, and we appreciate y’all for sticking with JoeLister. Creating and maintaining a link between eBay and Shopify to Amazon Seller Central can be an arcane process, and while we relish the technical challenge, we know that even a brief delay in order processing and fulfillment can be a major pain. That’s what inspired the creation of JoeLister in the first place, so we’re always striving to keep solid footing on the shifting sands that are ecommerce platforms. Thanks for your support and understanding this year!

I’m not much of a corporate person and have always appreciated straight and honest talk with my customers, teammates, and students. I write all our messaging myself, and I’m also in the support ticket queue every day and handle some of the responses myself as well. I’ve really been looking forward to our soft rebrand (with a new logo and website!) as well as writing this blog post because it’s important to me that Joes know that there’s an active team working hard on JoeLister and we don’t take any of our subscribers for granted.

This post is just meant to be a brief introduction. In coming posts, I hope to update Joes about new features, upgrades, and quality of life improvements we’ve made to JoeLister in the last few months as well as what Joes can expect from us coming down the pipe. I also look forward to getting feedback in the future from Joes regarding what features would be most helpful for them. In the meantime, feel free to drop me a line at jeff@joelister.com - while it might take me a little while to get back to you, I promise I read every email that comes through my inbox. (Or, you can mention us on Twitter while it still works.)

Thanks for reading this post! I look forward to getting to know y’all better.

Go Joes,

Jeff
